In case of minor injuries , provide first aid immediately.

If major injuries occur or if the swelling and pain persist for more than 24 hours, consult a physician.
First Aid
Rest

For a leg : use crutches, do not put weight on the leg
For an arm : do not use the arm and support it in a sling
For the back : lie on your back or on your side
For the neck : rest your head or support your neck using cervical collar.
Ice applications
In ten (10) minute periods, three (3) times a day, until the pain or the swelling disappears. Use crushed ice or ice cubes wrapped in a wet towel.

Elevate the injured limb
For a leg, arm or for any swelling, it is essential for the limb to be in an elevated or horizontal position as often as possible.
::::: Do not forget the basic rules: REST - ICE - ELEVATION :::::
